Constituency Area

Vava’u 14 contains the Western part of the main island and the smaller outer islands. It is a combination of the existing Pangaimotu District, the Motu District and the Hihifo District. The Pangaimotu District includes the islands of Pangaimotu (including the villages of Pangaimotu,‘Utulei, and Nga’unoho) and ‘Utungake. The Motu District includes the islands of Lape, Kapa (including the villages of Falevai, ‘Otea, Vakataumau and Kapa), Taunga, ‘Euakafa, ‘Eueiki, Hunga, Ovaka, and Nuapapu (including the villages of Nuapapu and Matamaka). The Hihifo District is on the main Vava’u island and includes the villages of Tu’anuku, Longomapu, Tefisi, Vaimalo and Taoa . The boundary on the Vava’u Island follows the estate boundaries of Luani, Fotu and Tu’ipelehake. Vava’u 14 also includes islands of Okoa, Ofu and Olo’ua (from the Neiafu District). Also included in this constituency are the uninhabited islands of Maninita, Taula, Lualoli, Lua’atofua’a, Luatafito, Fangasito, Fonua’one’one, Lua’afuleheu, Kahifehifa, Luahiapo, Mu’omu’a, Fatumanga, Lua’ui, Ngau, Ta’uta, Lekeleka, Fonua’unga, Totokamaka, Totokafonua, Ovalau, Mounu, Kafafanga, Sisia, Fonualai, Langito’o, Lua’ofa, Foeata, Foelifuka, Fofoa, Kalau, Vaka’eitu, Tangatasito, Kulo, Alinonga, ‘Oto, ‘A’a, Nuku, Luakapa, Luamoko, Tu’ungasika, Luafatu, Kitu, Fafine, Nukutahanga, Lautala, Tu’anukulau, Tapana, Afo, Mala, Lotuma, Kolo’uta, Kolotahi, Fua’amotu, Late, Lateiki, Tefito, Katofanga, Matatoa, Noapule, Fonualei, Toku, Tulie, Kiato, Tue’ia, Nuku, Fai’oa, Mafana, Kenutu, Lolo and ‘Umuna
